Mweka Camp (3,100m) is the final overnight stop on the descent from Kilimanjaro's summit, reached after a long and knee-jarring 3-5 hour trek down from Barafu Camp through the Mweka Route, as exhausted but elated climbers drop rapidly in elevation back into the lush montane forest zone. The dramatic change in scenery, from barren alpine desert to dense, green rainforest thick with moss, ferns, and birdsong, offers a welcome sense of relief as the air thickens and temperatures warm after the brutal cold of the summit night. Spent and often sore from the descent, trekkers use this final night on the mountain to rest, reflect on their achievement, and share stories with fellow climbers and guides before the last short hike out to Mweka Gate the following morning, where they'll receive their summit certificates and officially conclude their Kilimanjaro journey.

6-Days climbing Machame Route
How many days does it take to climb Mount Kilimanjaro? Next to Marangu, Machame, popularly known as “the Whiskey Route”, is the second most sought-after way of reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro. This path gives access to an array of views, scenery, and experiences. So, if you enter Machame Gate from the southern slope of Mt Kilimanjaro, you will walk the wonderful path which starts from the tropical forest and follows through all the climate zones, culminating in the arctic desert before reaching the summit area.
6-Days climbing Umbwe Route
Umbwe route is daring experienced climbers seeking adventure and challenge will find just what they want on the 6-day climbing Umbwe Route. A short, steep climb traversing all the climate zones – from tropical rainforest to eternal ice – will put your strength and endurance to the test. Like no other route on Kilimanjaro, Ubwe gives a sense of achievement to those who reach the summit. Your first day on the mountain will start from Umbwe Gate and continue with a lengthy trek to the first camp on your way – Umbwe camp.
