Day by Day Experience

Day 1

05:00 AM – Early Morning Pick-Up in Zanzibar

Your day begins with an early transfer from your hotel to Zanzibar Airport. As the island wakes up, prepare for an exciting change of scenery—from the Indian Ocean coastline to Tanzania’s magnificent southern wilderness.

06:00 AM – Flight to Mainland Tanzania

Board your scheduled or charter flight to the mainland, depending on availability. Enjoy scenic views during your journey towards the Nyerere National Park area.

08:00 AM – Arrival and Meet Your Safari Team and begin your journey

Upon arrival at the designated airstrip or airport, meet your local safari guide and prepare for the day’s activities. After a short briefing and any necessary transfers, begin your journey into the wilderness.

12:30 PM – Picnic Lunch in the Wilderness

Pause for a picnic lunch at a designated safe location arranged by your safari team. Enjoy your meal surrounded by nature before preparing for the afternoon’s land-based adventure.

01:30 PM – Afternoon Game Drive

Continue your safari in a 4x4 vehicle, exploring the park’s open grasslands, woodland, and wildlife-rich areas. Look out for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, impalas, wildebeests, and, with luck, lions or African wild dogs. Your experienced guide will search for wildlife activity while sharing insights into animal behavior and the conservation of this remarkable ecosystem.

03:30 PM – Final Wildlife Viewing and Transfer

Enjoy your final wildlife sightings before leaving the safari area and transferring to the designated airstrip for your return journey. The exact timing will depend on the flight schedule and the location of the day’s activities.

Afternoon or Evening – Return Flight to Zanzibar

Board your return flight to Zanzibar according to the confirmed schedule. Relax and reflect on the day’s river encounters, wildlife sightings, and beautiful wilderness scenery.

Evening – Arrival in Zanzibar

Upon arrival, meet your transfer driver and return to your hotel, bringing your Nyerere National Park adventure to an end.
