10-Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking & Tanzania Safari Adventure

Upon arrival, our driver will pick you up from Entebbe Airport. He will be waiting for you outside at the exit with a name sign. He will bring you to the Lodge. You will relax on a scenic drive through the Ugandan countryside, stopping at roadside markets to experience the local culture, and stopping at the Uganda Equator for photos, experiences, and video shoots. 

Arrive at your lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and enjoy a delicious dinner with stunning views. Settle into your accommodation, ready to start your safari proper in the morning.

Choose from a variety of optional activities to further explore Bwindi's rich biodiversity and cultural heritage. 

1: Hike through the scenic Buhoma Village and explore the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park's diverse plant and animal life. 

2: Visit a local community village and learn about the Batwa (Bushmen) people’s traditional way of life. At this point, you will understand the way of life of the people of Uganda, especially those who are living within Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, and you will get a deep feeling for these people. Later, travel to Lake Mburo National Park.

Be up early at 7:00 am and get a picnic breakfast, after proceeding for a briefing from park rangers about gorilla trekking etiquette and safety procedures. Embark on your gorilla trek through the dense rainforest, following trails forged by the gorillas themselves. Be awestruck by the sight of a gorilla family in their natural habitat - an experience you'll never forget! Spend an hour observing the gorillas as they go about their daily activities - feeding, grooming, and playing. Return to your lodge, exhilarated by your encounter, and share stories with fellow trekkers over dinner.

You will enjoy breakfast and transfer back to Entebbe with a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch. Proceed to Entebbe, arriving in late afternoon. You will be dropped off at the hotel in Entebbe for dinner and overnight! Entebbe, the air gateway to Uganda, could hardly be more different in character to the nearby capital Kampala. Better suited to bird-watchers than to partygoers, it is an attractive small city set on jungle-lined Lake Victoria.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your lodge and take in the beautiful surroundings. Depart from Entebbe Hotel and be transferred to the Airport for your flight to Tanzania. End of your 4-day gorilla tracking in Uganda. Karibu Tanzania! Upon arrival, our driver will pick you up from Kilimanjaro Airport. He will be waiting for you outside at the exit with a name sign. 

Upon your arrival at the airport, your safari guide will pick you up, give you a short briefing, and begin your journey directly to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy a day game drive in one of Tanzania’s most fascinating parks, known for its impressive elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. 

Tarangire is home to the largest concentration of elephants in the world, and you’ll have the opportunity to witness herds of up to 300 elephants gathered around the Tarangire River. This river is a vital water source for the animals, and during the dry season, elephants dig into the riverbed to find underground water or seek out baobab trees for a refreshing drink. 

Later on will be transferred to the hotel for a short rest, waiting for another night game drive in Tarangire. The park is also a paradise for birdwatchers, with a wide variety of species including parrots, hornbills, lovebirds, lilac-breasted rollers, Kori bustards, eagles, and vultures. 

A night game drive gives your safari a completely different twist as you see all the nocturnal animals that you did not see during the day. These animals now appear with eyes lighting up in the darkness when the headlights of the safari jeep meet them. Your guide tells you all about these night lovers and helps you spot nocturnal species such as porcupines, civet cats, genets, bush babies, lions, and leopards.

After breakfast, you will continue towards the fertile highlands where wheat and corn are grown by the Iraq people. Along the way, we'll pass through the mist-shrouded rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you might be lucky enough to see baboons or even leopards and elephants in the dense undergrowth. Passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will be able to see the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater before traveling onwards to the Serengeti National Park, which you will reach by midday. The Serengeti National Park is the largest park in Tanzania with diverse landscapes and habitats, such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah, and mountains. After an extensive game drive, you will drive to your accommodation where you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay. 

Optional Activities: Safari bush walks and Hot air Balloon safari

After a nourishing breakfast, we will begin the day in central Serengeti where we will have lunch and view the game. The wildlife in the Serengeti is extremely diverse; there are regular sightings of lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, elands, wild dogs, gazelles, crocodiles, giraffes, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, and antelopes. There are a few factors that will affect the game you spot, such as the migration of the herds and the season. The various bird species consist of a few migrants from the Eurasia region. We will drive to the lodge, which is located near the rim of the crater, and a delectable dinner will be served. 

Today we wake up early and start the day with a beautiful sunrise game drive. There's something truly magical about experiencing the African wilderness at sunrise, and a sunrise game drive is one of the best ways to do so. The early morning is an incredible time to spot some of the park's most elusive and active wildlife, including lions, leopards, and hyenas. The cooler temperatures and softer light create the perfect conditions for a memorable safari adventure, as you journey through the park's vast savannahs and grasslands.

In the afternoon, it will be time to head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey to the park is an adventure in itself, as you traverse winding roads through breathtaking scenery.

This unique natural wonder is home to an incredible array of wildlife, from herds of grazing antelope to majestic lions and towering elephants. Journeying through the crater on a game drive, you'll have the chance to spot some of the park's most iconic species, including black rhinoceros, hippos, and wildebeest. Your experienced guide will share insights into the ecology of the region, as well as stories and facts about the fascinating behaviors of the park's many species.

The Ngorongoro Crater is a particularly special location for a game drive due to its enclosed nature. Surrounded by towering walls, the crater forms a natural amphitheater that makes it easy to spot a wide range of wildlife. You'll travel through lush forests and open savannahs, taking in breathtaking views of the crater floor and its many inhabitants. As your safari adventure concludes in the afternoon, we'll drive en route to Arusha for your flight back home.  

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport for your departure flight back home. If you wish to extend your adventure to Zanzibar– well, that’s another adventure, and we’ll manage that for you as well! This marks the end of your safari in Tanzania. We hope you've had an unforgettable experience with us in Tanzania. Safe travels, and we look forward to welcoming you back for more adventures in the future!
