TOUR OVERVIEW

Whitewater rafting is an amazing activity that teaches one how to handle pressure and remain calm under pressure. The activity takes you rowing through the turbulent sections and rapids of the river Nile in Jinja

The rapids in Jinja are graded 4 and 5, hence offering some of the best whitewater rafting experiences on the continent.

Whitewater rafting in Jinja is a long activity that also gives you time to relax, mingle with other rafters, spot birds, enjoy the nature, and watch local fishermen working and women washing clothes along the riverbanks. During this trip you will take a city tour to enjoy the best that Jinja town has to offer. You will have stops at Mabira Forest and the Ssezibwa Falls, visit the source of the Nile, and do three adrenaline-raising activities: bungee jumping, quad biking, or horseback riding if interested in some of these activities.

You will have a half-day trip to explore Kampala, the capital city of Uganda, and its full history. The tour offers an in-depth introduction to everything you would want to know about Kampala and Uganda’s history, culture, and traditions.

You visit Gadafi’s mosque (Buganda palace, which contains Idi Amin’s torture chambers). And Nakasero local market, you will taste one of Uganda’s signature snacks, like a rolex or Kabalagala (Ugandan pancake; it is gluten-free!)

While it is a half day, you will take breaks along the way to allow for resting and browsing of the various attractions. You will truly get deep feelings for Uganda and its people. Then you will end this trip in Murchison Falls National Park to see the Big 5.
