Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti North (Kogatende)

After breakfast, your journey to the Northern Serengeti begins—either by road or air, depending on your chosen travel style:

Option 1: You’ll be driven to Arusha Airport (or fly from Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam) for a scenic flight to Kogatende Airstrip in the Serengeti. Upon arrival, your guide will greet you and begin your first game drive through the remote northern wilderness.

Option 2: Travel by road through the Ngorongoro Highlands, skirting the rim of the Crater. Along the way, enjoy sightings of wildlife and sweeping views of golden savannahs and endless plains.

The Serengeti National Park is Tanzania’s oldest and most iconic park a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. It’s home to the legendary Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and antelope thunder across the plains. You’ll also encounter buffalo, elephants, giraffes, and countless other species including topi, elands, impala, and Grant’s gazelle.

After your game drive, settle in at your camp for dinner and a peaceful night under the stars.
