TRIP OVERVIEW

A 4-day safari gives you a chance to see amazing animals. You will be immersed in the unspoiled nature of real Africa, where you will see wild animals up close and take photos of the beautiful landscapes of Tanzania. All this with the assistance of a tour operator based in Arusha. This tour provides full board while on safari, a personal English-speaking guide, and private use of a 4×4 Jeep (with mineral water, power sockets, and binoculars supplied).

ITINERARy

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your journey begins with an early morning pick-up from your lodge in Arusha. With lunch boxes packed, you’ll head toward Tarangire National Park, known for its peaceful landscapes and rich wildlife.

Once inside the park, your game drive begins. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and the Tarangire River, which attracts animals during the dry season. You may spot giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and if lucky lions or leopards resting in the trees.

After the game drive, return to your lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Day 2: Karatu to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, begin your journey from Karatu to Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy glimpses of wildlife and sweeping views of the highlands before entering the vast Serengeti plains.

Once inside the park, your game drive begins. The Serengeti is world-famous for its Great Migration, where thousands of zebras, wildebeests, and antelopes move across the land in search of fresh grazing. You’ll also have the chance to spot resident predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, fulfilling their role in nature’s dramatic cycle.

Enjoy lunch at a scenic spot inside the park, then continue your afternoon game drive before arriving at your camp for dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.

Day 3: Serengeti to Karatu

Rise early for a final morning game drive in the Serengeti, when wildlife is most active and the golden light brings the landscape to life. This is a perfect time to spot predators on the move and grazing herds waking up to a new day.

After the game drive, begin your journey south toward Karatu, a charming town nestled near the Ngorongoro Crater. The drive offers scenic views and occasional wildlife sightings as you pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Arrive in Karatu by late afternoon and settle into your lodge for a relaxing evening. Tomorrow, you’ll descend into the crater early when animals are most active for one of the most unforgettable safari experiences in Tanzania.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After breakfast, descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater for a final game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a true natural wonder of Africa. Its enclosed ecosystem offers one of the best chances to spot the Big Five lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—all in one place.

As you explore the crater floor, you’ll witness a rich tapestry of wildlife, lush landscapes, and shimmering soda lakes. It’s a magical farewell to Tanzania’s wild beauty.

After the game drive, begin your journey back to Arusha, where your safari adventure comes to a close. Whether you’re heading onward or flying home, you’ll carry unforgettable memories of the landscapes, animals, and moments shared.
