ITINERARy

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire

Your journey begins with an early morning pick-up from your lodge in Arusha. With lunch boxes packed, you’ll head toward Tarangire National Park, known for its peaceful landscapes and rich wildlife.

Once inside the park, your game drive begins. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and the Tarangire River, which attracts animals during the dry season. You may spot giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and if lucky lions or leopards resting in the trees.

After the game drive, return to your lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Day 2: Lake Eyasi – Cultural Encounters with Hadzabe & Datoga Tribes

After breakfast, your safari guide will drive you to Lake Eyasi, a remote and culturally rich destination nestled in the Rift Valley.

Your day begins with a visit to the Hadzabe tribe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer communities in Tanzania. You’ll join them on a short hunting excursion to witness their traditional skills in action.

Next, you’ll meet the Datoga tribe, known for their craftsmanship as blacksmiths. Watch them forge tools using age-old techniques and explore their village to learn about their way of life.

Later, enjoy a peaceful walk around Lake Eyasi, soaking in the scenery and connecting with the local community. After this enriching experience, return to your lodge for dinner and a restful evening.

Day 3: Lake Eyasi to Ngorongoro Crater – Safari Finale

After breakfast, your guide will drive you to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a thrilling game drive inside the famous Ngorongoro Crater, carrying lunch boxes for a picnic in the wild.

The crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s home to over 30,000 large mammals including elephants, buffaloes, lions, rhinos, and cheetahs—as well as countless birds like flamingos, eagles, and buzzards. Wildlife viewing here is incredibly dense, so keep your camera ready!

After the game drive, you’ll be transferred back to Arusha, marking the end of your unforgettable safari journey.

Distance Covered: Approx. 120 km from Lake Eyasi to Ngorongoro, then approx. 190 km to Arusha
