ITINERARy

Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti – Scenic Drive & First Game Drive

Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Arusha, heading toward the legendary Serengeti National Park. Along the way, you’ll pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a short stop to admire the stunning views over the crater rim, a perfect photo opportunity.

As you enter the Serengeti, your first game drive begins across the vast open plains. Keep your eyes open for lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and maybe even a leopard or cheetah. It’s a thrilling introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife.

In the late afternoon, arrive at Kontik Serengeti Camp, your cozy tented camp in the heart of the park. Enjoy a warm dinner and relax under the stars—your Serengeti adventure has officially begun.

Day 2: Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Your day begins with an early breakfast at camp, followed by a morning game drive across the Serengeti plains. With a packed lunch in hand, you’ll explore one of Africa’s most iconic landscapes—home to lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and, depending on the season, the breathtaking Great Migration.

The Serengeti is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the richest wildlife areas in the world. It hosts over two million wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes, along with Africa’s famous Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino.

In the afternoon, you’ll begin your journey toward Ngorongoro, traveling through scenic highlands and Maasai territory. Your destination is Karatu, a peaceful town just outside the crater rim.

Upon arrival, settle in at Martina’s Retreat, a cozy mid-range lodge. Enjoy a warm dinner and relax in the cool highland air, ready for tomorrow’s crater adventure.

Travel Time: Around 4 to 6 hours (depending on road conditions and wildlife stops)
Main Destination: Ngorongoro Highlands (overnight in Karatu)
Activities: Morning game drive in Serengeti, scenic transfer to Karatu

Accommodation: Martina’s Retreat (Mid-range lodge in Karatu town)

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha Airport – Final Game Drive & Farewell

After breakfast, your guide will take you into the Ngorongoro Crater for a final game drive. With a packed lunch in hand, you’ll descend into the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera home to an incredible concentration of wildlife.

Inside the crater, you may spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and even rhinos. The views are breathtaking, and the diversity of animals makes this one of Africa’s most rewarding safari experiences.

In the afternoon, you’ll begin the drive back to Arusha Airport, where your safari adventure comes to an end. If needed, accommodation or a transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport can be arranged at extra cost.

Travel Time: Around 2.5 to 3 hours (depending on road conditions)
