How to Get to Ruaha National Park
There are two main ways to reach Ruaha. The easiest and fastest way is to fly. Daily scheduled and charter flights are available from major cities like Dar es Salaam, Arusha, and Zanzibar to the Msembe Airstrip inside the park. This is the best option for travelers with limited time. If you prefer to travel by road, it is possible to drive from Dar es Salaam or Iringa. The road from Dar es Salaam takes about 10 to 12 hours and requires a 4x4 vehicle, especially during the rainy season. The journey is long but offers a chance to see more of rural Tanzania along the way.
