Safari Overview
This exceptional 4-day luxury safari tour surpasses all others in East Africa, offering a complete holiday experience that rejuvenates both mind and soul. You’ll enjoy a range of activities, including game viewing in Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti National Parks. It provides a comprehensive East Africa adventure, leaving you with in-depth knowledge and unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s wonders.
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
In the morning after breakfast, you’ll get in a 4×4 Land Cruiser safari vehicle ready for a safari to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park has the highest population density of elephants in Tanzania. Tarangire comprises herds of up to 300 elephants that scratch the dry river bed for underground streams. There are also migratory wildebeests, zebras, buffalos, impalas, gazelles, hartebeests, and elands. It’s the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem. It’s a smorgasbord for predators and the one place in Tanzania where dry-country antelope such as the stately fringe-eared oryx and peculiar long-necked gerenuk are regularly observed. After a whole day game drive, you will be transferred to Ngorongoro oldeani mountain lodge in the evening for dinner, a warm shower, and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
You have a long day ahead full of chances and new animals to be spotted as you are headed to the Ngorongoro Crater! A visit to this breathtaking Natural Wonder of the World is an absolute must on any northern circuit safari itinerary. The Ngorongoro Crater is around 3 million years old and it is the world’s largest inactive, intact, and unfilled caldera. Inside the 20 square kilometer volcano is a variety of wildlife which includes the rare and endangered black rhino. Lions, elephants, zebras, hyenas, and many others keep him company. Your safari continues towards Tanzania’s oldest and most popular park, Serengeti, which is always filled with adventure and discoveries. Late in the afternoon, you will arrive at Ngorongoro Lions Paw for your overnight rest.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park
Nothing beats waking up from a restful sleep to the sounds of the Ngorongoro. Once you have enjoyed your breakfast, we will depart from the Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park as it is a wonderful time to spot the game the acacia-studded savannah welcomes you to start exploring its wildlife. It’s another day filled with safari adventure on African soil and by the end of this day you’ll probably understand the meaning of the name ‘Serengeti’ to be ‘endless plains’. Late in the afternoon, you will go to Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge.
Day 4: Serengeti National Park to Arusha by Plane
Following a restful night, it’s time to depart. This morning, after a final game drive, you’ll head to Seronera Airstrip for your flight back to Arusha Airport. As you board the aircraft, your journey nears its end, but you can still gaze out over the wings and take in the magnificent views of Serengeti National Park and the changing scenery of the Great Rift Valley. Upon landing at Arusha Airport, you’ll have a camera full of pictures to share with friends and family, and unforgettable memories of your African adventure!
